Prior to joining BKLW, Niko was Director of IT Infrastructure for several INC 500 companies in Las Vegas, Nevada, Orange County, California and Phoenix, Arizona. He helped develop their current IT infrastructure and developed several private Cloud-based projects, products, and SaaS applications. His focus on improving overall function through innovation and thinking outside of the box accelerated the business growth.

Niko has led complex IT projects with business-critical deliverables with significant impact in both small and large IT multi-tenant and data environments.

As IT & Forensics Director of Bienert Katzman Littrell Williams LLP, Niko Costin has grown up entrenched in the world of digital forensics and has been involved in many aspects of the company since 2019. His education includes a background in Computer Information Systems. Since 2019, he has been conducting forensic examinations with attorneys, private individuals, and other entities in investigating computer and mobile evidence, building on his previous experience of in-house digital forensics examinations including evidence acquisition, forensic analysis, and report preparation.   Niko is knowledgeable of industry standard forensic methodologies, procedures, and tools, and proficient in the use of forensic tools from Cellebrite, Exterro FTK, Magnet Forensics, Sumuri, X-Ways Software Technology AG, Autopsy, SolarWinds DameWare, CSI Linux, Metaspike Forensic Email Collector & Intelligence, Passware, Everlaw, Relativity,  dtSearch, Google Apps and Microsoft.

In addition to hundreds of hours of digital forensic training and years of field experience, Niko attended industry-recognized certifications for forensics including Certified Mobile Device Examiner (ICMDE), Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), Certified Social Media Intelligence Expert & Investigator (CSMIE & CSIL-CSMI), Certified OSINT Analyst (CSIL-COA), Certified Dark Web Investigator (CSIL-CDWI) and Computer/Mobile/Cloud Forensics Examiner/Analyst courses, Cellebrite, Autopsy, SANS Institute, CSI Linux Academy, Cyber5W Academy and others.

Niko Costin is actively involved in the digital forensics community as a member of the International Association for Computer Information Systems (IACIS), International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE), High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), The Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE).
